Responsibilities

  • Contribute to visitor management and tourism-related activities, including interpretation, guided walks, and visitor support.

  • Comply with all safety protocols, ethical guidelines, and policies established by SANParks.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to achieve conservation goals and park management objectives.

Qualifications
  • Enrolled in or recently completed a relevant degree program in conservation, wildlife management, ecology, environmental science, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in South Africa's biodiversity, national parks, and the challenges of managing protected areas.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with colleagues, park visitors, and community members.

  • Ability to work in remote and challenging field conditions, sometimes in isolated areas and adverse weather conditions.
